What is a drop and pick?
A drop and pick is a means of loading or unloading goods from a container. Compared to a live load, a drop and pick is where the trucker drops off the container at the facility for more than one day. Then once the container is loaded/unloaded, the trucker will return to pick it up. Please keep in mind that drivers typically charge double the base trucking rate since they are making two trips to and from the terminal.
